A voice for Digestive Health in the European Parliament!

On June 15 we have officially launched the MEP Digestive Health Group – an Interest Group for digestive health in the European Parliament. The Group brings together Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) who are interested in promoting improvements in all areas of digestive health and associated EU policy initiatives.

The launch was marked by an online event hosted by the Chair of the Group, MEP Antonio Tajani. The event provided an overview of the status quo of digestive health in Europe and outlined the mission of the Group. Chairs of UEG Public Affairs Committee and Research Committee provided the scientific outlook while leading EU legislators shared their perspectives on what can be done at EU level to improve digestive health and how the MEP Digestive Health Group is fit for this purpose.
